This rare commemorative coin and folder were produced by the Heart of America Council, BSA to highlight its Centennial Campout held from September 24-26, 2010, celebrating 100 years of Scouting. The HOAC is headquartered in Kansas City, MO and is one of the largest Boy Scout councils in the country.

Over 16,000 Cub Scouts, Scouts, Explorers and Scout leaders attended the Campout, making it the second largest centennial celebration event in the country, behind only the National Jamboree.
