The condition of this PS-1 Boxcar is based on appearance only, and I did not test it for operating performance. This unique and very attractive Boy Scouts Boxcar was produced to honor the Centennial Anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America in 2010. It has a yellow body, a silver roof with a silver catwalk, silver car ends, and clear and complete blue, black and red lettering and realistic BSA and Union Pacific emblems, logos and markings on the body. It is 11 and 1/4 inches long, and it comes with a simulated load of boxes, doors that open, silver, die-cast metal sprung trucks, operating couplers, hidden uncoupling tabs and with metal under frame details.
And, i t also comes with a clean and complete, original Lionel window box that has two authentic BSA labels on the back box panel. The box has some creasing on the end flap corners and there is some creasing on the back and top box panels, but otherwise it is a nice, whole box. This sharp-looking Lionel #27298 Boy Scouts of America 100th Anniversary PS-1 Boxcar would certainly be a most welcome addition to any collection or operating railroad!
